I specialize in information security and business continuity plans, which is planning how to run your business in case disaster strikes.
There's more to managing a crisis than just checking that your servers and computers are OK. The aim of Business Continuity Planning is to reduce the impact of an adverse event to your entire business and to reduce the time it takes to recover from that event. To do this, you need to identify core activities, core resources and assets, and to analyze the risks involved. I can help you to this!
I'm originally from Montreal, Canada. I graduated from McGill University in 1988 and moved to Tokyo in February 1989 where I lived until March 2007. I then moved to Dublin, Ireland for one year; I moved back to Tokyo in April 2008.
I first worked for Ricoh, a Japanese office equipment maker, as a technical writer. Since 1995, I've been working in IT for the finance industry. Past employers have included ANZ Bank, Citibank, and Depfa.
I became a CISSP in April 2007. Oddly enough for someone in information technology, I'm a little bit of a luddite at times. I am interested in the risks associated with technology and that makes me a little suspicious.
